E Cigarettes For Sale Cheap On Ebay

Saturday, May 9th, 2009

E cigarettes are the new smokeless electronic nicotine delivery system that more and more US smokers are becoming aware of. They were developed in China in 2004 but are now just getting on the radar of US smokers who can no longer smoke in many public places.

As a trained scientist I have always been open to the possibility that nicotine was not as bad for you as everyone thought.  I even had a statistics professor use smoking studies as an example where two causes of one effect were incorrectly lumped together as cause and effect.  He said that, for example, something else such as environment could be causing both smoking AND cancer.
My web research has shown that nicotine is a powerful anti-parasitic compound.  In the US mainstream medical professionals don’t believe that parasites are a problem, but many alternative practitioners believe that they are an overlooked cause of many diseases including cancer and heart disease.  While I am not saying this is true and am not a doctor, I am saying that I do keep an open mind as all scientists are trained to do.

Here are some e cigarettes for sale for cheap on Ebay.  I think I will try them myself.  I used to smoke when I was younger but gave them up for the smell.  Once in a long while, I still smoke on the porch but mostly I use nicotine gum if I need a boost.

Pangea Organics Beauty Products Cheap: Great Mother’s Day Gift

Thursday, May 7th, 2009

I noticed that Pangea Organics beauty care products are becoming popular.  I personally like all natural beauty supplies and food so I looked on ebay to see if I could get some at a low price.  Sure enough, they have a selection of Pangea Organics bath sets, facial cream, facial toner and body scrub, just to name a few.

Here is a description of their facial lotion:

* Facial lotion formulated to leave skin feeling smoother rather than smothering
* Creamy and moisturizing composition
* For a relaxing mind and soothing body
* Ylang Ylang soothes tension while Linden Flower leaves skin smooth and soft
* Nurtures skin
* Cruelty-free
* Contains no sulfates, detergents, or synthetic preservatives
* No artificial colors or fragrances
* A portion of Pangea Organic’s profits are helping them build their non-profit organization, Pangea Institute, dedicated to researching and teaching all aspects of sustainable living and business practices

Looks pretty good to me. I usually buy new natural products from my local health food grocery store but the markup is very high so I try to find it cheaper online if I like it.

I have been looking for a mother’s day gift for my mom, and she just might like this. Ebay sellers are usually very friendly and can do a rush order for you if you contact them, especially if they have high feedback and are experienced sellers.

Benefits of Microdermabrasion

Thursday, December 13th, 2007

Microdermabrasion is a skin care technique which has been described as “vacuuming your skin” and “sandblasting your skin”. These two descriptions describe the dual action of the microdermabrasion machine which uses a vacuum to first blast aluminum oxide crystals directly onto the skin and then, in a circular motion, suck the crystals back up and any debris that has been dislodged. The process blasts away dead skin cells and also the old top layer of the skin.

Microdermabrasion Benefits

Possibly the most important benefit of microdermabrasion is that it is a professional non-invasive cosmetic procedure which can now be carried out, by virtually anybody, in the comfort of your home. Furthermore the home machine uses the same vacuum process as the pro machines and it can be purchased for less than $200.

Now that we have that benefit out of the way we can take a look at the personal benefits of the treatment. The first thing you notice after a session, at the salon, spa or clinic, is that your skin feel tighter. It may be slightly reddish immediately following the procedure but this will settle to leave a nice healthy glow.

Taking a closer look at your skin you will notice that your dull and lifeless looking skin now looks fresh with a youthful sheen. Look even closer and you will see that you have fewer open pores and that those pores that have not closed are clear of any sebum or dirt.

It is believed that microdermabrasion benefits sufferers of acne because it deeply cleanses the pores of the skin removing any comedones (a comedo is the dark plug that we see in a blackhead which is also found in whiteheads but it is not visible). Comedones are considered one of the main causes of acne (though more research is required on this topic). With regular microdermabrasion it is possible to reduce the frequency of new acne pimples forming and, as the older pimples fade there is a progressive move to crystal clear skin.

The two benefits shown above have been chosen as I believe that, of all the many microdermabrasion benefits, these are the most important. The agony of teenage agony is difficult to describe it can lead to very severe depression and self inflicted exclusion from their friends. Acne is also very, very uncomfortable (yet few people mention this fact) and it is very difficult to live with. It can take a highly successful and popular student and virtually destroy them emotionally to such a degree that their studies suffer.

There are many acne treatments available but the level of success varies from person to person and what works for one may not, necessarily, work for the other person. It is therefore important to have as many “weapons” as we can to fight acne and microdermabrasion is one of them. For some people the be all and end all is beautiful looking skin but for a person suffering from acne they would be perfectly happy just to see the back of their pimples.

There are several other benefits of microdermabrasion and one of the most surprising is that it has been clinically proven to be effective in the reduction of fine lines, crow’s feet and age spots, it can even considerably diminish mild acne scars. This occurs because the surface cells of the skin are removed by the treatment and a series of about ten sessions allows new, younger, skin to be forced to the surface on a continual basis thus creating skin that continually regenerates giving a youthful and healthy skin texture.

Take Care

Another microdermabrasion benefit is that it can diminish (and in some cases remove) freckles, skin blemishes and other marks but it can also cause problems. For those patients with darker skin there is an increased risk in the procedure causing pigmentary streaking to occur so great care should be taken. Therefore we strongly advised that you test the treatment on a area of skin that is not usually seen before proceeding with a full session.

It is also very important that, if you are using a home microdermabrasion system, that you follow the instructions to the letter. If you use a microdermabrasion machine on your skin for too long it can lead to serious damage. A session usually last for about twenty minutes to half an hour so please take care not to go beyond this unless under medical advice.

How Physiotherapy Fits in with Rheumatoid Arthritis Treatment

Friday, November 30th, 2007

Rheumatoid arthritis is not only a painful and debilitating disease. It is also a risk factor for other diseases such as heart disease and osteoporosis. Research shows that these diseases can be held off by exercise and other lifestyle changes.

For the sufferer of rheumatoid arthritis, life is a constant learning experience. Each time a new movement is done, one finds out if it makes the condition feel worse or better. Rheumatoid arthritis patients may feel fatigue. They will likely have a great amount of pain and stiffness in their joints.

Physiotherapy is one way to combat the effects of rheumatoid arthritis. This will be an ongoing therapy that will require dedication over the rest of the patient’s life. However, it is common that the exercises and other therapies help the rheumatoid arthritis so much that the patient will have incentive to keep doing them.

A physiotherapist understands how all the parts of one’s body work together to create movement. Bones, muscles, joints, ligaments, and tendons: the physiotherapist knows how they all fit to make one walk or stand. With this knowledge, the physiotherapist can devise methods to help one keep moving. This is the most important part of rheumatoid arthritis treatment.

Early in one’s treatment, the plan will take shape. It will include ways to prevent rheumatoid arthritis from disabling one. As time goes by, the focus will shift to a more here and now sort of treatment. Exercises will be geared more towards current problems.

Water exercises can be used for people with rheumatoid arthritis. These exercises allow the person to get much needed strengthening and stretching exercises done. At the same time, there is little or no pressure on the joints or spine. Physiotherapists use water exercises as an important part of the treatment plan.

Strengthening exercises help the muscles provide more support to the joints of people with rheumatoid arthritis. If there is not enough muscle tone, the patient will have more trouble walking or doing other normal movements. The rheumatoid arthritis will dominate the movements instead of the muscles dominating them.

Heat therapy can be used in conjunction with ice therapy for rheumatoid arthritis. A physiotherapist can tell the patient when and how long to leave on heat packs or ice packs. Other heat therapy is done by ultrasound.

People with rheumatoid arthritis can benefit from manual procedures, such as massage. A person with the stiffness that accompanies rheumatoid arthritis can be very limited in how far he can move his joints. Massage improves movement and increases this range dramatically.

One of the most important functions a physiotherapist serves for patients with rheumatoid arthritis is as a motivational coach. The physiotherapist should be trained in the psychology of chronic disorders and pain management. She will be there to encourage you to keep trying, keeping moving, and never giving up.

Physiotherapy is only a part of the treatment for rheumatoid arthritis. Diet and medications are also used, for example. Yet, without physiotherapy, many people who suffer from this disease would be in much worse pain.
