Buy Cash For Clunkers Cars Online

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

Want to use the Cash For Clunkers rebate but wondering if you can do it online?  Well on ebay there are several car dealers advertising to let you use the cash for clunkers rebate online.
The program is mostly for people with SUVs or trucks that get a low MPG.  The car must be worth less than the $4500 rebate for it to be worth your time to use the cash for clunkers credit.

The clunker will be scrapped so one more low mile car will be off the road and America will be a small step closer to energy sustainability.  If you want to really help the environment and plan long term, buy a high MPG car such as a Prius, not just the minimum 25 MPG cars.  Some people are predicting gas will hit $6 a gallon in a few years, and you don’t want to be stuck with a new car that costs too much to fuel up, do you?

Panasonic KX-TG 7432 for sale on Ebay

Thursday, May 21st, 2009

An article today in the NY Times talks about the new Panasonic KX-TG 7432 home phone that is high tech and geared for the many of us who still have a land line and want more technology in our phones.  I keep my land line, despite the extra cost of having both cell phones for everyone in the family plus the land line, for several reasons:

  • The phones are loud and I can hear them all over the 3 story house
  • A lot of my financial and public life has that phone number associated with it and loosing it would be a hassle
  • The phone is connected to my fire and burglar alarm

I have bought Panasonic phones for the last 15 years or so and have always been happy with the price relative to quality. The phone has several features including:

  • clickable navigation joystick
  • a list of messages you can listen to at will in any order
  • Do Not Disturb, which lets you establish certain hours during which the phone doesn’t ring.
  • A huge, bold, black-and-white screen displays icons for things like Caller List, Voice Mail, Settings, etc.

This phone also has the feature that my current Panasonic phone has, speaking Caller ID.  When I first got the phone, I thought that feature would be something to disable but instead I found I love it.  It keeps me from getting up for calls I don’t want to answer, such as toll free calls or calls from family members who I am not in the mood to talk to at the moment, and also lets the family know who the call is for often.  When my daughter’s best friend calls, she rushes over to answer, not me or my husband. Ebay often has the best prices on items.  You can buy the Panasonic KX-TG 7432 for sale on Ebay.
